Liability Coverage

Pays for damage and injuries you cause to others in an at-fault accident.

Liability Coverage

Liability coverage is the mandatory core of any auto policy. It has two parts:

  • Bodily injury liability: Pays for medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering of people you injure.
  • Property damage liability: Pays for damage to other vehicles or property.

Liability does not cover your own car or your own injuries.
